Remember Her
REMEMBER
HER is an indoor aerial dance combining film, theatre, live singing and music.
This piece explores links between creativity and invoking the divine. The
action takes place above and around you, opening up your senses, as the
performers take the audience on a fantastical journey filled with imagery that
weaves emotion with wonder. Come with a willingness to let go of the mind and
share this fantasy filled evening.
"I was unprepared for the ethereal sophistication and glamour of this adult work. A heady blend of aerial, dance, projection and the spoken word, I was convinced by the coherence of the artistic vision which held all these elements in balance. I was deeply moved by the commitment of the performers... ...renowned performance artist Rose English, who mentored Chantal and Jym Daly throughout pre-production and rehearsals has inspired the company to greater confidence in their abilities... ...it appears that Rose has enabled and empowered this talented team to work together in a way that clearly illuminates their respective writing, composition and aerial skills."
- Stella Hall - Creative Director, Newcastle Gateshead Initiative
Choreographed and directed by Chantal McCormick
Artsistic advisor – Rose English
Associate choreographer - Christine Devaney
Lighting design - George Tarbuck
Music and film Jym Daly
Costumes - April Pressley
